Why the plan keeps breaking
Reading plans are designed for your good weeks. A juz a day works beautifully in Ramadan and collapses the first time you have a deadline, a sick child or a night shift. Once you miss two days the plan is behind, and a plan you are behind on stops feeling like worship and starts feeling like debt.
The fix is not more willpower. It is designing for your worst week instead of your best one, so that the thing you committed to still fits on the day everything goes wrong.
Anchor it to something already in your day
You already stop five times a day. That is five slots that need no negotiation with your calendar. Attach the reading to one of them — a verse after Fajr while you are already sitting, or after Isha before you put the phone down — and you stop needing to find time for it.
Then let the app carry the memory. A verse on the Home or Lock Screen means the prompt arrives whether or not you thought about it, and most days that is the entire difference between reading and meaning to.
Make missing a day survivable
A streak counter is useful right up until the moment it becomes a reason to give up — miss one day, lose the number, quit. What you want is a weekly view that shows the shape of your week honestly: five days out of seven is a good week, and it should look like one.
Aim for most days, not every day. The people who still read in a year are not the ones who never missed; they are the ones who came back the day after.
Preguntas frecuentes
