Precise Location

We collect your precise location (latitude and longitude) ONLY to provide core app functionality: determining Qibla direction and calculating accurate prayer times for your location. Location data is processed on your device or sent to our servers solely for these religious features. We do NOT use your precise location for advertising, marketing, or tracking purposes. Location permission is optional, but required to use Qibla and prayer time features.

User Content and Preferences

We collect and store content you create within the app, including your reflections, completed good deeds, spiritual journey progress, app preferences, and settings. This data is used solely to provide the app's personalized features and is linked to your account.

Device Identifiers and Advertising Data

We collect device identifiers (such as device ID and vendor ID) solely for: (1) Internal analytics to improve app functionality, (2) App performance monitoring and diagnostics, and (3) Security and fraud prevention. We explicitly state that device identifiers are NEVER used for advertising tracking, behavioral targeting, or cross-app tracking.

Usage and Diagnostic Data

We automatically collect information about how you use the app, including features accessed, time spent, actions taken, app interactions, performance data, crash reports, and error logs. We also collect device information such as device type, operating system version, app version, language settings, and timezone. No Advertising Tracking

No Tracking

Since we do not track your activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes, there are no tracking settings to configure.

Location Services

You can enable or disable location services for Tariq in your device settings: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Tariq. Disabling location will prevent Qibla direction and accurate prayer time features from working, but will not affect other app functionality.

Notifications

You can disable push notifications in your device settings or within the app's notification preferences.

Children's Privacy

Tariq is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at support@thetariq.app so we can delete it.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ.
